What we did (and how we did it)
Before starting work on the Pocklington Town Council website we spent some time establishing the requirements.
Responsive Website – Display correctly across all devices (Computers, tablets and mobile phones).
Content Management System – The ability for the client to easily add their own news articles and perform changes to the website when required.
Search Engine Optimisation – To rank highly in the search engines.
Directory – Promoting local businesses, charities, schools, clubs and organisations.
Event Calendar – Promote upcoming council meetings and local events.
Council Area – A separate sub section to house council specific information such as minutes and development plans.
As York Graphic Designers are located in Pocklington, it was nice to work on a project that would benefit the local community and act as a marketing tool to promote Pocklington and attract new visitors to the town.
