Welcome to the Jungle: Google Street now features the Amazon Basin

Ever fancied taking a boat ride down the Amazon River? Yes I hear you say. Well now you can, all from the comfort of your home or office via Google Street view.
User’s can take a virtual trip through the Amazon Rainforest on the Rio Negro thanks to a project recently completed by Google and the Amazonas Sustainable Foundation (FAS). Google has also captured the trails of Tumbira, enabling users to take a look at the largest community in the Reserve. Over 50,000 photographs were taken and painstakingly stitched together to create the 360-degree panoramic views.
